Binary is based on a numbering system made up of the numbers 0 and 1, represented through empty and full. Computers operate using this order of digits, decoding 0 as off and 1 as on. In addition, 5 combinations of binary numbers represent a letter of the alphabet.
Under these codes, the work contemplates the installation of a series of walnut shells organized on the ground, the ones corresponding to zeros (0) being empty and those corresponding to ones (1) filled with salt.
The composition is arranged using the binary system interpretation of a phrase by the Chinese philosopher François Cheng: "The full constitutes the visible of the structure, but the void structures its use".
