The work that I present post-residency Cab-Patagonia, Tiempo Profundo, arises from an encounter obtained while traveling along the coast of Puerto Yartou in order to film small puddles, lagoons, pools, streams, rivers and the Strait of Magellan. In the course of a walk, encounters and new discoveries arise, expanding the subject of study, providing new possibilities as I found remains expelled by the sea, small treasures of an underwater world, corroded by time, water and wind.
The moving shells found in both aquariums were collected on the shores of the Port; this process made it possible to view beyond the nacre and calcium, into whirlpools of different sizes that resemble a waterspout, or a whirlwind in the north or even a spiral galaxy; an ascending vertebral column modified by the temporality and the movement of the Ocean, living thanks to the tide, between the land and the sea.
These shells are suspended by volcanic rocks, each one is correlated to the weight of the other holding it, operating between them a gravitational dependency to stay afloat and circulate again, by means of a water current.
