Full HD video / 3D / Stop Motion / waterproof image. 9’03”
HEXA, in its first version, presents an immersion in the Schiaparelli glacier, in the subantarctic region of Magallanes, Chile. Based on data collected by scientists in the study of its behavior, HEXA carries out a sound and animated translation of the process of retreat of its glacial front, offering the possibility of participating not only in the phenomena reflected on the large scale of time and landscape, but also in the subtle transformations that generate the conditions for the emergence of life.
This project was presented by PRISMA in Space-Water-Earth Triad garden during the Ars Electronica Festival
Video co-authored with Matías Labbé, based on the translation of scientific data from the melting of the Schiapparelli Glacier. Associate scientists Francisco Aguirre, Inti González, Ángeles Estévez.
